Located in the scenic Tan Thuan Commune of Dam Doi District in Ca Mau, the Tan Thuan Wind Power Project stands as a testament to advanced engineering and collaborative efforts. Spearheaded by the esteemed project owner PECC2 and in collaboration with the globally recognized EPC Contractor, CEEC, this project aims to make significant strides in the renewable energy domain. With the cutting-edge Gamesa Siemens SG5.0 turbine model and the sturdy PHC foundation, the project’s infrastructure is designed for durability and efficiency.
One of the pivotal aspects of this venture is the intricate installation of 28km of subsea cables, a task that required precision, expertise, and dedication. OEI, known for its commitment to excellence, played a crucial role in this phase. The company’s involvement began with the careful reception and storage of the cables, ensuring their optimal condition. This was complemented by the systematic transportation process, showcasing OEI’s logistical prowess.
The highlight was the meticulous laying of the cables, executed with precision using the OEI-03 cable laying barge. This specialized barge, along with a team of 50 dedicated professionals, ensured the seamless progression of the project. For three continuous months, this team showcased OEI’s dedication to upholding the highest standards in project execution.
Concluding the project, OEI efficiently managed the handover of surplus cables at the designated Substation, marking a successful end to their involvement. This project not only highlights OEI’s capabilities but also serves as a reference for future endeavors in the renewable energy sector.
