In Ca Mau province, Vietnam, the Wind Power Plant Project faced an unexpected challenge when a construction barge inadvertently damaged a vital 35kV cable during piling operations, leading to a significant power outage. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, CMC, the project owner, immediately engaged OEI.
Leveraging our expertise, we promptly conducted a thorough underwater survey to locate the damage. Once identified, we sourced the necessary joint materials and expertly fabricated the joint. Our specialized diving team, equipped with a dedicated barge, was then mobilized to retrieve and repair the damaged cable segment.
The post-repair process involved securely burying the cable at a depth of 2 meters to prevent future disturbances. This swift and efficient intervention by OEI in January 2022 ensured the uninterrupted operation of the Wind Power Plant Project, reinforcing our commitment to delivering timely and effective solutions.
