Provision of Seabed Restoration Services

The CTB-OEI consortium announced the award of seabed restoration project at the Thien Ung Wellhead, a key asset of the esteemed VietsovPetro. This offshore wellhead, located near Vung Tau, faced challenges due to cavities formed after its drilling activities and the subsequent demobilization of the Drilling Jacket Legs. OEI’s role in this restoration is multifaceted.
A vessel, loaded with 4,000 tons of sand, will be dispatched to the site, with the sand strategically pumped into the seabed holes using a high-pressure hose. To ensure precision, the seabed will be equipped with dump clamps and an advanced positioning system. The Heavy Lift crane barge “Hoang Sa” will further support the restoration, enhancing the sand pumping activities. With OEI’s expertise at the helm, the project aims to restore the seabed’s integrity, ensuring the Thien Ung Wellhead’s operational continuity.
